A Mission of MERCY; Public Meet Ups and CardHolder Meetings. One of the missions of MERCY is to help establish regular get-togethers in each community where the are (or will be!) medical cannabis patients.   The purpose is to get patients networking and self-sufficient within their neighborhoods, assist those seeking information about the OMMP - but - especially to enable consistent, independent and free lines of communication for patients, caregivers and activists.   The goal is to get reps from other meeting groups coming to exchange action items of interest to individuals, the group or other visiting reps, as well as sending our rep to their meetings.   A network - a chain - of meetings up and down I-5 and across the state working in conjunction with e-mail lists and bulliten boards.

This is an organizational meeting to kickoff a new concept in MMJ support groups, no money to exchange hands for MMJ EVER. I am hoping that groups of grower and patients will agree to this concept. We are not cops, but we don’t want to associate with persons who believe MMJ is money. We will be a self policing group where we expose anyone in the group who tries to sell any of us MJ. The plan would work when four patients cooperate and fund a grow that would yield more than the four could consume. Each patient receives what he/she needs and willingly gives the remainder to the poor and those without medicine. The group would do everything in a open way so no one has to believe someone’s word. There would be an accounting system that would protect identities of patients and also return a list of who received the gifts. Each group would have surplus each harvest unless there were a disaster of some kind. Grower/patient groups could agree to cover each other if somehow a harvest fails. The group would send all or part of the surplus to those who did not have a good harvest. I am just trying to organize support for all card holders. I want the group to not have a leader. I prefer a small group of five to manage services for the patients. NO Big Chesses!! No stinky cheese. Everyone equal. All meeting public. All needs processed in the order of their arrival. I don’t want to be treated special. I am just a patient. My goal is to help setup such a group in every place where there are card holders. Any other group may freely copy our model.
